What is Theatre on Ice?

Much like watching a production in a theatre, we create a production on a sheet of ice. Theatre on Ice incorporates freestyle, dance, choreography, performance skills, pairs skills, and team skills to create an artistically exciting production TEAM of skaters! We use music, props, costumes, and choreography to tell a story.

 

NEW THIS YEAR: We will have TWO separate seasons! (1) Holiday Season and (2) Competition Season!

August Auditions will be specifically for our HOLIDAY SEASON and the commitment is September through December 2026. Auditions for our COMPETITION TEAM will be later in the year! Competition Season commitment will be January through July 2027.

What does the Holiday Team involve?

After auditions in at the end of August, we will jump right into our Holiday Production! Practices will be held every Saturday (sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon as noted on the Team Schedule). We will have two months to prepare and then it's SHOWTIME! The Holiday Team will perform all over Las Vegas (Downtown Summerlin, Fontainebleau, and our home rink LVIC) and we will TRAVEL to Brian Head, Utah for the most magical outdoor performance of all!

What are the SKILL requirements to audition for Las Vegas Ice Theatre?

All skaters must have passed ISI Freestyle 1 or USFS Aspire 1. For our Competition Teams, skaters are strongly encouraged to have passed their USFS Preliminary Skating Skills (Moves in the Field) or higher. No previous team or theatre experience is necessary!

What are the AGE requirements to audition for Las Vegas Ice Theatre?

We invite ALL AGES to audition for our team! We have a wide range of ages – including adults!!

When are the team Practices and Performances?

Our team practices once a week on Saturdays. Times can vary but are typically scheduled between 6:00-9:00am or 4:00-7:00pm. Performances will be in November and December as noted in the Team Contract.

How much does it cost to be on the team?

Monthly dues will be $250 per month (September through December). Additional costs include team gear, costumes, props, and travel. More specifics are noted in our TEAM CONTRACT.

What are the benefits of being part of Las Vegas Ice Theatre?
